lobal payments giant Stripe has launched stablecoin accounts for businesses in 101 countries, giving entrepreneurs a powerful new tool to protect their money and access international markets. With support for top stablecoins like USDC and USDB, the new feature is especially valuable in countries facing currency volatility and inflation.
Stripe’s stablecoin accounts allow businesses to receive payments via both crypto and traditional methods, and then send funds globally using stablecoins. This flexibility helps companies avoid the high fees and delays of traditional banking — and keeps them competitive in today’s digital economy.
The move comes just months after Stripe acquired Bridge, a stablecoin infrastructure firm, for $1.1 billion. It’s part of a larger push by Stripe to blend blockchain and artificial intelligence into its services.
Patrick Collison, Stripe’s CEO, called stablecoins and AI “two gale-force tailwinds” transforming the financial world. “Our job is to bring these technologies forward so businesses using Stripe can start benefiting now,” he said.
Alongside the new stablecoin offering, Stripe also introduced an AI-powered payments system trained on tens of billions of transactions. The goal? To catch fraud faster and improve payment approvals by understanding transaction patterns more accurately.
This latest update places Stripe at the forefront of modern fintech, giving businesses around the world smarter, faster, and more secure ways to manage their money.
